“Everything went into the G&L very nicely. I love the preamp so far. I've  now done two shows with it and have figured out the new quirks a Parametric EQ brings. I find it so much more useful than the original G&L preamp, which I never touched due to the frequencies being two extreme, one far too low and other almost being just hiss.

The new setup, including the FT in the M position gives me exactly what I was looking for. I actually have a bass where I use the bass control now. On most of my instruments, I leave the bass control flat and boost mids/highs to taste and pretty much leave it. With the parametric, I can find a "deep" sound that I enjoy and can switch to very quickly. Pretty sure I change up the EQ between almost every song. I did also rewire the L2000 to have single coil mode, which helps a lot. Highly recommend doing that.

I put the preamp in a Rickenbacker 4003, which had much less space than anticipated but also stereo jacks and unlabeled wires/connections. “Hi Tim, I’m really pleased with mine as is. I’ve been using the low resonance setting on the neck filter and the high setting on the bridge. Using the frequency knobs and the blend gives me allther controls I need. One of my main complaints about some of the other preamps I’ve tried is that more choices leads to more fiddly operation where with yours I can set the filters and not be constantly turning knobs to try and get “just a little bit better” I also like having the bypass a lot, especially with the Q-Tuners.”
